Church and State Equality of Etiquette Equals Truth of Separation of Church and State. No Kidding.
Where have we heard this before? Economist’s View: Insurance Capitalism and the Insurance State
Mr. X
“..and I disagree on aspects of the solution to the (insert y) problem and on many, many other issues, but his willingness to engage honestly and openly on the issues is refreshing.”
(Turns out “honesty and openly” is equal to Tax and Spend. Who knew?)
That sentence is the old “Hello” of all political discourse in the United States. Assumption: no lie can be spoken if the speaker is polite in his introductions.
Isn’t the ideal of the Leftist/Socialist’s Party, (aka the Democratic Party) supposed to be in absolute separation from the Church? Why then is it the standard practice for Church liberals to say exactly the say thing? One might get the impression that the Non-Creating Party is getting its speech from the Non-Creating Church and that is why both have a lens and agenda of non-creation and limited resources and Governmental/Church ideals based on scarcity-as-only-reality and the fear of scarcity.
What is the result of all this hugging-as-speech according to non-creating speech through the Socialists?
Through Mr. Bartlett:” Therefore, like it or not, we must travel the same route taken by the Europeans, who long before us made peace with the welfare state and tried to figure out how to pay for it with the least negative impact on economic growth and incentives.”
Again, who knew?
Here a debate over reformed or arminian theology takes exactly the same non-stance of Truth in the guise that the mere doing of speech is the same as Truth and the fellowship-of-discourse the same as faithfulness to Christ.
This sentence has become the old “Hello” of all Church doctrinal discourse in the United States.
“I have a great deal of respect for and feel no small amount of indebtedness to these men and women, many of whom have a great deal more education and facility with Scripture than do I…… (the flattery.. followed by the attack..)
But let’s have a little humility, huh? Let’s not pretend that all wisdom resides in Reformed theology or Dispensational theology or Arminian theology. Or that the throne of God is resident in Pittsburgh or Dallas or Asbury. Or at any other church, seminary, or parachurch organization espousing a particular doctrinal perspective. “
Web Search/Blog Search the phrase “..respect the right” and ‘Church’ or ‘Democrat’ or ‘Republican’
and you will find a curious thing: the very same speech reflective of the very same etiquette about many issues. Everyone, everywhere, no matter in or out of the Government or the Church seems to “respect the right” of their doctrinal/political opposers to lie in their face (according to their own world view of ‘free will’) AND that the lying should not cease but be encouraged as mere speech. And if that speech is by any means truncated (by running into the Truth), the Truth should be trampled simply to get that polite speech going again. And they cannot stop.
Supreme Court Decision Says so:
“This shift of meaning for freedom of expression was introduced by Justice Brennan in a concurring opinion in Lamont v. Postmaster General, 381 U.S. 301 (1965). Brennan tweaked the marketplace analogy to assert that the real value was
the right of the listener to receive expression.
“I find the right to receive publications is . . . a fundamental right . . . . It would be a barren marketplace of ideas that had only sellers and no buyers”(Id. at 308). “
It is then very plain that the same speech is ubiquitous over the whole of mankind: non-creating speech for its own sake irrespective of reality. The only crime amongst such persons who want you to pay for their speeches, is to truncate by any means (much less fiscal) their ‘right to hear in order to respectfully disagree’ in order to say some more non-creating words.
Psalm 12:3,4 Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things, Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail, our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Am I now come up without Jehovah against this place to destroy it? Jehovah said to me, Go up against this land and destroy it. 2 Kings 18:25
Anti-Christ tried the lie that God had sent him to conqueor Jerusalem through the Assyrians. But God says to the worshipers of demons who hate Jesus Christ and Israel: "But I know thine abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, And thy raging against me." 2 Kings 19:27
