Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Kislyak said Monday a proposed joint venture to enrich Iranian uranium in Russia would be possible only if Tehran resumed its moratorium on enrichment activities, Interfax reported.

Despite an earlier threat to the contrary, Iran said Sunday it was willing to discuss Moscow’s proposal to shift large-scale enrichment operations to Russian territory in an effort to allay suspicions it is pursuing nuclear weapons.

RAMALLAH, West Bank, Feb 6 (Reuters) - The Palestinian Authority will ask international envoy James Wolfensohn to quickly release $300 million in aid to pay salaries and keep government ministries running, a senior official said on Monday.

Palestinian Economy Minister Mazen Sonnoqrot told Reuters in an interview that the money was pledged by donor countries last year and that the Palestinian Authority now needed it urgently to cover its expenses over the next two months.

U.S. Aid withdrew funds to agencies that sponsor abortion in ‘poor’ countries. The Clinton White house had funded them to the hilt. The English response? Take up where anti-Christ through the Clinton’s left off.

LONDON, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Britain announced funding on Monday for safe abortion services in the developing world and urged other countries to join it, in defiance of Washington.

London will give 3 million pounds ($5.3 million) over two years to support groups that offer safe abortions and family planning, replacing U.S. aid that has been withdrawn because of Washington’s anti-abortion stance.

Under a U.S. policy dubbed the “global gag rule,” any organisation applying to it for funds must agree not to counsel on abortion — except to advise against it — or to provide abortions.

The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), which has developed the new Global Safe Abortion Programme, argues the U.S. policy exposes millions of poor women to unsafe abortions in back-street clinics.

“It is a big boost for us, politically and philosophically, that a sovereign government is prepared to stand up and say ‘we support what the IPPF is trying to do to expand the availability of safe and legal abortions around the world,’” IPPF Director General Steven Sinding told Reuters.

Annually, some 19 million women have unsafe abortions and nearly 70,000 die from sepsis and haemorrhage, according to the World Health Organisation.

The British government and the IPPF hope Northern European countries, the Netherlands and Canada will back the programme.

“We know from experience that the absence of sexual and reproductive health services results in an increase in unintended pregnancies and, inevitably, a greater number of unsafe abortions,” said Gareth Thomas, a minister at the Department for International Development.

“I would urge other donors to follow our lead,” he added in a statement.

The U.S. policy on funding was first imposed in 1984 by then-president Ronald Reagan. It was eased by former president Bill Clinton but reinstated by George W. Bush in 2001.

It withholds U.S. funds from any group that is involved in promoting or discussing safe abortions, even when that work is funded by others and in countries where abortion is legal.

The UK programme will also support groups like Marie Stopes International and Manuela Ramos in Peru that have had to cut back on sexual health services because of a lack of U.S. funds.

Seems anti-Christ just can’t be satisfied with the blood he sheds and always needs more. Now the English, long in decline of anything truly Christian, very ‘froward thinking’ as to how not to have children and recently making legal same-sex/no-children ‘unions’, will make the rivers of blood even thicker.
