On Psalm 24: Emotional Common Sense of Man is wickedness and anti-Christ from which we have been delivered
Psalm 124:1-8 A Song of degrees. Of David. If it had not been Jehovah who was for us–oh let Israel say– If it had not been Jehovah who was for us, when men rose up against us, Then they had swallowed us up alive, when their anger was kindled against us; Then the waters had overwhelmed us, a torrent had gone over our soul; Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. Blessed be Jehovah, who gave us not up a prey to their teeth! Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of Jehovah, the maker of heavens and earth.
Plainly, God through the psalmist sings of God’s mercy on the psalmist and all new creatures in Jesus Christ in not being deceived by the emotional common sense of fallen men. This is plainly revealed in:
- “they had swallowed us up alive..” the emotions of Man plainly declared to be more than simple feeling ( it is a living beast that is anti-Christ that literally swallows whole souls alive in the guise of “logical neccessity of emotional common sense.. : Jeremiah 51:44 And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth what he hath swallowed up; and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon is fallen.
- ..when MEN rose up against us ( as being the very ones before whom God had prepared a table full of all good things for us causing them to be jealous againt us..)
- the PROUD waters ..had come against our soul ( in the guise of being the “morally righteous” anger directed at our hearts from them as if our hearts were the same as that of fallen Man or as if fallen Man actually knew/was aware the evil performed through them
- our SOUL is escaped ..out of the snare ( out of the trap of being deceived their emotional common sense is Righteous and indicative of a deeper ‘wisdom’ and out of the snare of being deceived we are just one big heart rather than a spirit, a soul and a heart in a body.
- we have escaped ( we were once taken in by that lie of the emotional common sense of Man and were, as Jonah, in the belly of Sheol; (Jonah 2:1-9 And Jonah prayed unto Jehovah his God out of the fish’s belly; and he said: I cried by reason of my distress unto Jehovah, and he answered me; Out of the belly of Sheol cried I: thou heardest my voice. For thou didst cast me into the depth, into the heart of the seas, And the flood was round about me: All thy breakers and thy billows are gone over me. And I said, I am cast out from before thine eyes, Yet will I look again toward thy holy temple. The waters encompassed me, to the soul: The deep was round about me, The weeds were wrapped about my head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; The bars of the earth closed upon me for ever: But thou hast brought up my life from the pit, O Jehovah my God. When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Jehovah; And my prayer came in unto thee, Into thy holy temple. They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation is of Jehovah.
) …but have now been born again as new creatures in Jesus Christ ..we were once Men and perfectly understand who and what is in them and therefore what toments them…)
John 2:23-25 And when he was in Jerusalem, at the passover, at the feast, many believed on his name, beholding his signs which he wrought. But Jesus himself did not trust himself to them, because he knew all men , and that he had not need that any should testify of man, for himself knew what was in man.
In view of understanding these things, we plainly see as well that it is snare to be afraid of Man and in particular that snare is identified as sharing Fallen Man’s emotional common sense, whether it come in male or female form.
Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare; but whoso putteth his confidence in Jehovah is protected.
As well, it is plain we were once just as they until God sent the Spirit of His Son into our new hearts and Spoke to Himself through us:
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Yet for us as new creatures in Jesus Christ:
Galatians 4:6,7 But because ye are sons, God has sent out the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father. So thou art no longer bondman, but son; but if son, heir also through God.
Psalm 116:1-19 I love Jehovah, for he hath heard my voice and my supplications; For he hath inclined his ear unto me, and I will call upon him during all my days. The bands of death encompassed me, and the anguish of Sheol took hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow: Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: I beseech thee, Jehovah, deliver my soul. Gracious is Jehovah and righteous; and our God is merciful. Jehovah keepeth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me. Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for Jehovah hath dealt bountifully with thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, my feet from falling. I will walk before Jehovah in the land of the living. I believed, therefore have I spoken. As for me, I was greatly afflicted. I said in my haste, All men are liars. What shall I render unto Jehovah, for all his benefits toward me? I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of Jehovah. I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people. Precious in the sight of Jehovah is the death of his saints. Yea, Jehovah! for I am thy servant; I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of Jehovah. I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people, In the courts of Jehovah’s house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
As well, we are to look out for each other as God does it through us:
2 Corinthians 2:6-11 Sufficient to such a one is this rebuke which has been inflicted by the many; so that on the contrary ye should rather shew grace and encourage, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with excessive grief. Wherefore I exhort you to assure him of your love. For to this end also I have written, that I might know, by putting you to the test, if as to everything ye are obedient. But to whom ye forgive anything, *I* also; for I also, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, it is for your sakes in the person of Christ; that we might not have Satan get an advantage against us, for we are not ignorant of *his* thoughts.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Am I now come up without Jehovah against this place to destroy it? Jehovah said to me, Go up against this land and destroy it. 2 Kings 18:25
Anti-Christ tried the lie that God had sent him to conqueor Jerusalem through the Assyrians. But God says to the worshipers of demons who hate Jesus Christ and Israel: "But I know thine abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, And thy raging against me." 2 Kings 19:27
