The PCUSA in a nutshell

What an apt name for a blog by a PCUSA minister: Shuck and Jive: the blog where the author never says “Well, enough about me ..and what I think God means –here is what God Says as Spirit and Life.” There seems to be a side-kick as well; one “Bob”. Bob and John lovingly chastise each other over what seems to them to be doctrinal incongruities and love each other again before the end of each round.

Take your nausea medication, the shield of faith, the helmet of Salvation, the Sword of the Word and your feet shod with the gospel as God does it through you and then head on over to see what the future would look like if anti-Christ has his way:

Shuck and Jive: Panentheism, the Itch, and Truth

It’s a mix of “Voices of Sophia” (”re-imaging” Christ Jesus into feminine/goddess form..), “click the icon and vote for me!” with the usual quotes of “biblical position” and “for our times” per post. If unbelievers called “scientists” can be deceived that a newt’s eye brew of “peptides”, “proteins” and goo plus temperature, light or the lack thereof and pressure can “result in life”, then no doubt unbelievers all can be deceived they are Christians, God is the love they want it to be and the PCUSA is a real Church.

I post the link so that you will know the depths of Satan in which the PCUSA has sunk no matter that when you meet one of them next time they will out-do you in the etiquette they think is God but is actually anti-Christ and smile to themselves as he does it through them for being “smarter and more loving” than you. But don’t dispair –it’s a secret they are dying to share with you and your children.

It is their best honesty that they would have you join their organization to learn at their feet. Be sure and check out the post on “Green Sunday” wherein there is the hint of soul-searching for Earth and the Unitarians are held up as role models of environmental etiquette for all free willers to follow.

An absolute gem by John in the comments on “Interpreting Scripture for our time; a hesitant start”:

One of the issues that comes up for me is the belief that one needs to believe in the supernatural in order to be moral. You didn’t say that, but I was thinking that atheists are just as moral as anyone who points to supernatural authority, in probably as many cases as not, more so.

That from a man who says he has a non-metaphorical call from God to teach others truth.

They see no problem with what they are doing. What new birth in Jesus Christ? What Word of God?

———————————–

2 Timothy 4:3,4 For the time shall be when they will not bear sound teaching; but according to their own lusts will heap up to themselves teachers, having an itching ear; and they will turn away their ear from the truth, and will have turned aside to fables.

Isaiah 3:9-15 The look of their face doth witness against them, and they declare their sin as Sodom: they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have brought evil upon themselves. Say ye of the righteous that it shall be well with him , for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him , because the desert of his hands shall be rendered unto him. As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. My people! they that guide thee mislead thee , and destroy the way of thy paths. Jehovah setteth himself to plead, and standeth to judge the peoples. Jehovah will enter into judgment with the elders of his people and their princes, saying: It is ye that have eaten up the vineyard: the spoil of the poor is in your houses. What mean ye that ye crush my people, and grind the faces of the afflicted? saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
