A Lamentation on Finding the Fathers
Isaiah 33:1 Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and that dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! When thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; when thou shalt make an end of dealing treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.
You over there and me over here.
You in your slavery to sin.
Me in Christ.
Look at us.
We’ve found our way
as God directed
to the fathers, coming out through thier eyes and ears,
seeing their hearts
and understanding the ancient war
Newly uttering the old sentences
again. that no one told us
Understanding them not like before.
As I unsheath my sword and you reach for yours
I say Perhaps God freed me so He could free you through me.
You don’t understand but smile as if you do.
You just repeat your
manly bullshit as if it were a shield.
when you were supposed to be the better Me.
You never understood by the time God picked up a gun through me
He was already The Ancient Warrior
Who stood alone after the wars of generations
while you thought you were a hero and a veteran of battles
and I newly come to the mere emotions of war
As we run together I know I will cry for what you could have been
what you should have been.
But I will never have to ask Why.
I already know Him.
He is not you.
So you can’t be as strong as you lie.
Look at us: RePete and Pete.
Going through each other to our places.

Everybody gets a lamentation. God closes one chapter and opens another.
Ezekiel 28:11-19 And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyre, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou, who sealest up the measure of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty, thou wast in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone was thy covering: the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the chrysolite, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the carbuncle, and the emerald, and gold. The workmanship of thy tambours and of thy pipes was in thee: in the day that thou wast created were they prepared. Thou wast the anointed covering cherub, and I had set thee so : thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou didst walk up and down in the midst of stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways, from the day that thou wast created, till unrighteousness was found in thee. By the abundance of thy traffic they filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned; therefore have I cast thee as profane from the mountain of God, and have destroyed thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I have cast thee to the ground, I have laid thee before kings, that they may behold thee. By the multitude of thine iniquities, by the unrighteousness of thy traffic, thou hast profaned thy sanctuaries: and I have brought forth a fire out of the midst of thee–it hath consumed thee; and I have brought thee to ashes upon the earth, in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the peoples shall be amazed at thee: thou art become a terror, and thou shalt never be any more.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Am I now come up without Jehovah against this place to destroy it? Jehovah said to me, Go up against this land and destroy it. 2 Kings 18:25
Anti-Christ tried the lie that God had sent him to conqueor Jerusalem through the Assyrians. But God says to the worshipers of demons who hate Jesus Christ and Israel: "But I know thine abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, And thy raging against me." 2 Kings 19:27
