Poetry: How you were with Jesus is how you are with me
It’s alright, babe
friend and compatriot
How you were with Jesus is how you are with me
I’m not above my master
if you faked it with Him
a fake toward me is all you’ll ever be
I understand
There’s lots of them and only one of me
You lookin’ for a common man
an’ a common god with all you hear and see
that don’t declare no good or evil
just a smile
’til its time to go.
You in your speech and I’m in mine
so it will be until your day of grace
if you have one
I’ll be gone by then I suppose
We’re not on the same road.
I knew I couldn’t save you
I always thought Jesus would on my account
But it’s a fit thing for me to see
what they do to Him
If I hadn’t heard the Word I’d be with you
not knowin’ the evil you done
I’d be the worst among you
Your proud husband in the middle of the Do
But it ain’t so.
So one of us has got to go.
But I’ll tell you:
I never thought you was one of them
until God Said so in me.
How you were with Jesus is how you are with me
I’m not above my Master
I see it clearly now
He’ll get me over it somehow
I loved my enemy like myself
and stood there stupid while it all went on
but the Word has brought the dawn
not everybody gets a lamentation
But I’m givin’ you yours now
He’ll get me over it somehow
How you are with Jesus is how you are with me
I’m not above my Master
You’ll just keep fakin it
But like Him
I won’t have to take it
It’s enough I’m like Him
I’m not above my master
How you were with Jesus is how you’ll be with
all you meet
Matthew 12:39,40 But he, answering, said to them, A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and a sign shall not be given to it save the sign of Jonas the prophet. For even as Jonas was in the belly of the great fish three days and three nights, thus shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Am I now come up without Jehovah against this place to destroy it? Jehovah said to me, Go up against this land and destroy it. 2 Kings 18:25
Anti-Christ tried the lie that God had sent him to conqueor Jerusalem through the Assyrians. But God says to the worshipers of demons who hate Jesus Christ and Israel: "But I know thine abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, And thy raging against me." 2 Kings 19:27
