Christian Clarity Review

Why did God have to die? Why does Jesus Christ, after His resurrection, tell his disciples that it was expedient that the Christ suffer and die in order to be raised from among the dead and that in the Law of Moses, and word of the prophets and the psalms was revealed why? To wit:

Luke 24:44-48 And he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was yet with you, that all that is written concerning me in the law of Moses and prophets and psalms must be fulfilled. Then he opened their understanding to understand the scriptures, and said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved the Christ to suffer, and to rise from among the dead the third day; and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations beginning at Jerusalem. And *ye* are witnesses of these things.

Christ had to suffer and die? Why?

So that He would have the right to preach repentance and remission of sins.

Why couldn’t he do that without dying?

Because He had made promises to many that were in effect as long as God lives. He had also sworn “as I live” that “the soul that sinneth, it shall die”, leaving no room for forgiveness of those in trespass. No exceptions were mentioned as part of the Law yet salvation was spoken of in the Old Testement. Yet the Law saved none.

The phrase “As Jehovah liveth!” occurs 35 times in the Old Testament and was said, in apostate Israel to be a goad that the people used against God, assuming that God could never die and so basically seeing God as tricked by His own Word into continually putting up with whatever they wanted to do whenever they wanted to do it as long He supposedly got a few bulls and goats.

Therefore God Said to them:

Psalm 50:7-23 Hear, my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify unto thee: I am God, thy God. I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices, or thy burnt-offerings, continually before me; I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he-goats out of thy folds: For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle upon a thousand hills; I know all the fowl of the mountains, and the roaming creatures of the field are mine: If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. Should I eat the flesh of bulls, and drink the blood of goats? Offer unto God thanksgiving, and perform thy vows unto the Most High; And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant into thy mouth, Seeing thou hast hated correction and hast cast my words behind thee? When thou sawest a thief, thou didst take pleasure in him, and thy portion was with adulterers; Thou lettest thy mouth loose to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit; Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother, thou revilest thine own mother’s son: These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. Now consider this, ye that forget +God, lest I tear in pieces, and there be no deliverer. Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me; and to him that ordereth his way will I shew the salvation of God.

Even then, they did not see God as Creator Who could create as He wished when He wished, but as supposedly being bound by His former Word in perpetuity particularly in whatever way they wanted to interpret what He had Said for their personal advantage in any given instant: they literally thought of having God hostage to His Word because, in their mind, “God can’t die” and had Said “As Jehovah liveth!”. In order to think to catch God in His Word, you have to know that God IS His Word/Speech and yet prefer another word/speech than God. You can’t love God and love anti-Christ/non-creating speech at the same time.

That kind of manipulation of God’s Word only comes from one place: Lucifer and non-creating speech. Lucifer thought the same thing. Thus, in his own common sense based on non-creating speech’s “interpretation” of God’s Word, Lucifer goes to the Word of God Incarnate, Jesus Christ and basically says “I’m the guy telling you how it is ‘cause you swore in former times all this was mine and you said “As Jehovah Liveth! and God can’t die.”

Yet God Says of Israel and those that led them to error:

Jeremiah 5:2 And if they say, As Jehovah liveth! surely they swear falsely.

The phrase “As I live!” expressed by God Himself occurs 24 times. Many have tried to hold forth that God “changed His mind” ( i.e. supposedly did not honor His Word to Israel and was “thus” “self-contradictory” ) by forming a new covenant because they had disregarded His Word in the former covenant. He revealed just enough of Himself to them to demonstrate to them His power and understanding throughout the rest of history: specifically what happens to those that think to bind God to His Word in a way God does not bind Himself and as if He could not create by His acts of Speech to satisfy His Word but were essentially not-God as one of them: He distinctly shows all the difference between Himself and non-creating speech and all who are in non-creating speech and all to whom He has given Himself as Word: He distinguishes Himself from both those whom He redeems and those He does not.

There is also this as a change of covenant:

Jeremiah 23:7,8 Therefore behold, days are coming, saith Jehovah, that they shall no more say, As Jehovah liveth, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; but, As Jehovah liveth, who brought up and who led back the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them. And they shall dwell in their own land.

In order to judge righteously all that is, God had to die to save those in captivity to sin in that He had sworn by Himself “As I live” in creating their former lifestyles that He had also Said would not profit them. There was no way out for any of us excepting His Infinite creating power specifically by His Word and His absolute power over all, to include death.

We then see, that the Love of God ( even as God IS Love ) was not Incarnate in flesh. Nor was the Power of God Incarnate. Nor was the Understanding of God Incarnate. Exclusively, the Word of God was Incarnate and all of God dwelt in Him as Word (Col 1:19,20 for in him all the fulness of the Godhead was pleased to dwell, and by him to reconcile all things to itself, having made peace by the blood of his cross–by him, whether the things on the earth or the things in the heavens. ) and died as Word, was resurrected as Word and thus God died and fulfilled all His promises and even made new promises as new creation by Himself as Word. If God had not died AS WORD, then this creation could never have ended seeing it had its creation by His Word, and would have gone on in its fallen, evil state because of God’s Word concerning it. The peace God made via His death on the cross was between the old and the new creation, given that both had Him as Word. He cut off ( in heaven and on earth ) the old and blessed the new. He saved us out of the old to be witnesses to His power as the only creating God:

Isaiah 43:10-21 Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am HE: before me there was no *God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, I am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour. It is I that have declared, and have saved, and have shewed, when there was no strange god among you; and ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, that I am *God. Yea, since the day was, I am HE, and there is none that delivereth out of my hand: I will work, and who shall hinder it? Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. I am Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King. Thus saith Jehovah, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters, who bringeth forth chariot and horse, army and power–they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched as tow: –Remember not the former things, neither consider the ancient things: behold, I do a new thing; now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the waste. The beast of the field shall glorify me, the jackals and the ostriches; for I will give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the waste, to give drink to my people, my chosen. This people have I formed for myself: they shall shew forth my praise.

and

Isaiah 63:8-10 And he said, They are indeed my people, children that will not lie; and he became their Saviour. In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the Angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled and grieved his holy Spirit: and he turned to be their enemy; himself, he fought against them.

Indeed, those who deny that God has died, much less as they deny He was resurrected, have as dogma that this world will continue forever. They claim it may “die” via some “natural process”, but the whole of the cosmos they vehemently deny will have an absolute end.

Yet God Says differently even before He died and was resurrected:

Isaiah 1:24 Therefore saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel: Ah! I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies. ( ..despite His having given them former promises and said “As Jehovah liveth!” and sworn by His Own Name. )

and

Isaiah 34:4 And all the host of the heavens shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll; and all their host shall fade away, as a leaf fadeth from off the vine, and as the withered fruit from the fig-tree.

and

Isaiah 65:16-19 so that he who blesseth himself in the land shall bless himself by the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the land shall swear by the God of truth: because the former troubles shall be forgotten, and because they shall be hidden from mine eyes. For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create. For behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice over Jerusalem, and will joy in my people; and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

As well, those who deny God has died simultaneously deny that the WORD of God has come in flesh. God specifically Says that anti-Christ denies Jesus Christ has come in flesh:

1John 4:1-6 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, if they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby ye know the Spirit of God: every spirit which confesses Jesus Christ come in flesh is of God; and every spirit which does not confess Jesus Christ come in flesh is not of God: and this is that power of the antichrist, of which ye have heard that it comes, and now it is already in the world. *Ye* are of God, children, and have overcome them, because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. *They* are of the world; for this reason they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. *We* are of God; he that knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. From this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Rather than simply start over with new creatures, God saved us out of the old by His Word before He died as plainly indicating His power over death, even as death was created for His purposes:

Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before me, saith Jehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.

Thus God calls us new creations who yet live in the old, but have had all concerning us in the old paid for by Him as Word:

2Corinthians 5:17-19 So if any one be in Christ, there is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new: and all things are of the God who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and given to us the ministry of that reconciliation: how that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their offences; and putting in us the word of that reconciliation.

Matthew 24:34,35 Verily I say to you, This generation will not have passed away until all these things shall have taken place. The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall in no wise pass away.

and thus, the Word He gave as Himself and “As Jehovah liveth!” has been fulfilled and no longer binds us excepting expressly what He Said and Says as Word :

Matthew 5:18-20 For verily I say unto you, Until the heaven and the earth pass away, one iota or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law till all come to pass. Whosoever then shall do away with one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of the heavens; but whosoever shall practise and teach them , *he* shall be called great in the kingdom of the heavens. For I say unto you, that unless your righteousness surpass that of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

(To pretend that God is not in us is the standard lie of Satan. Thus while the Scripture is the inspired Word of God and inerrant ( excepting most modern “translations” by non-creating speech as advancing the common sense of non-creating speech/anti-Christ) , God also lives in us and both Speaks and does as He pleases without ever being contradictory to His Word in Scripture and yet living beyond the letter in that we live in Him as whole Word that is being revealed more and more. Indeed, the only way He could have been contradictory is if He lived in none but as if the Holy Scriptures, were actually, as so many of Lucifer’s liars state these days “an instruction manual” for “us” to supposedly “know what to do” in God’s supposed absence and as if He were not His Word as Spirit and Life and had not died and been resurrected as Word of God/Creating Speech.)

Thus we are still under the ten commandments as a law, and all men are under the ten commandments ( yet not in any way as the law supposedly saving us or them from the wrath to come or as earning good things in this life) and not in any way are they done away because He said they would not be done away until this heaven and this earth pass away.

For those who say we are “picking and choosing” what law to disregard and what law to “want to follow” with a disregard for the Scripture we Say God Is and has given of Himself as that Word, God has sent explicit instructions to us as Gentiles what He expects from us as regards the rabbinical/temple law and makes plain that those things Israel were not able to keep as the law ( and yet they depended on the law as if it were the path to salvation instead of the Word of God, Jesus Christ and thought to force God into the old covenant forever by His Word instead of trusting in Him AS Word ) is then NOT given to us to “do better than they did” with the same thing God has died to do away with:

Act 15:24-29 Inasmuch as we have heard that some who went out from amongst us have troubled you by words, upsetting your souls, saying that ye must be circumcised and keep the law ; to whom we gave no commandment; it seemed good to us, having arrived at a common judgment, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men who have given up their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves also will tell you by word of mouth the same things. For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: to abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication; keeping yourselves from which ye will do well. Farewell.

as well, we have strict prohibitions against turning to legalism/dependence-on-law-keeping as means of salvation:

Col 2:16-23 Let none therefore judge you in meat or in drink, or in matter of feast, or new moon, or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Let no one fraudulently deprive you of your prize, doing his own will in humility and worship of angels, entering into things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by the mind of his flesh, and not holding fast the head, from whom all the body, ministered to and united together by the joints and bands, increases with the increase of God. If ye have died with Christ from the elements of the world, why as if alive in the world do ye subject yourselves to ordinances? Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch, (things which are all for destruction in the using of them :) according to the injunctions and teachings of men, (which have indeed an appearance of wisdom in voluntary worship, and humility, and harsh treatment of the body, not in a certain honour,) to the satisfaction of the flesh.

As well, those specifics in no way give license to sin as defiling the temple of God, the body and God directly speaks of wrath on those that do:

1 Corinthians 6:15-20 Do ye not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then, taking the members of the Christ, make them members of a harlot? Far be the thought. Do ye not know that he that is joined to the harlot is one body? for the two, he says, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit. Flee fornication. Every sin which a man may practise is without the body, but he that commits fornication sins against his own body. Do ye not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of God; and ye are not your own? for ye have been bought with a price: glorify now then God in your body.

and

Romans 1:25-32 who changed the truth of God into falsehood, and honoured and served the creature more than him who had created it , who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile lusts; for both their females changed the natural use into that contrary to nature; and in like manner the males also, leaving the natural use of the female, were inflamed in their lust towards one another; males with males working shame, and receiving in themselves the recompense of their error which was fit. And according as they did not think good to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind to practise unseemly things; being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil dispositions; whisperers, back-biters, hateful to God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, void of understanding, faithless, without natural affection, unmerciful; who knowing the righteous judgment of God, that they who do such things are worthy of death, not only practise them, but have fellow delight in those who do them .

and

Galatians 5:18-26 but if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are fornication, uncleanness, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strifes, jealousies, angers, contentions, disputes, schools of opinion, envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revels, and things like these; as to which I tell you beforehand, even as I also have said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit God’s kingdom. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, fidelity, meekness, self-control: against such things there is no law. But they that are of the Christ have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts. If we live by the Spirit, let us walk also by the Spirit. Let us not become vain-glorious, provoking one another, envying one another.

Both the necessity ( the trespass of the law by those not new creations in Jesus Christ ) and the means of the salvation from those consequences will remain in effect until all comes to pass and each name to be saved or damned literally goes through the life God has determined for each quite beside and in addition to God having performed His Word even at the pain of death. If He upheld His Word for Himself and died in honoring His Word to all others, how much more those who are not-God will die by His Word and will not at all escape by trespassing His Word: God holds the same standard to Himself as He holds to us. God holds us to the same standard He holds Himself to. Only He can afford that in that only He can Save and Create and yet destroy as well.

Ezekiel 33:17 Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.

Thus He also Said:

Matthew 24:34 Verily I say to you, This generation will not have passed away until all these things shall have taken place. indicating the children of this generation who are not elect will only live because they are given the promises He has given in this present creation as Law and not the new creation: they will receive all that He has Spoken and live forever as they were as a creature, unable to endure the new creation in the place assigned them ( the lake of fire ) and yet being immortal per His Word in the former creation in His absolute power over death and all else being demonstrated in wrath on them.

Thus God can call those to Himself, not as a ideal model of behavior, but each of us particularly as He uses us and uses us beyond the law of parents and family even as that law is not undone, because He died as Word of God/Jehovah and was raised as Word of God/Jehovah and not at all be “contradictory” in that He Is His Word as Spirit and Life and is not “using language” as a “will-neutral” tool to maintain a supposed ideal perpetual state of will-neutrality/”free” will for all others. Those who say that He is doing exactly that loath Jesus Christ because He came in flesh as Word of God, died and rose again as Word of God and proved they cannot bind Him with His Word at all, much less in their lies as what speech and language are.

Recall that God expressly Says of those that hated Jesus Christ:

Mark 12:12,13 And they sought to lay hold of him, and they feared the crowd; for they knew that he had spoken the parable of them. And they left him and went away. And they send to him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, THAT THEY MIGHT CATCH HIM IN SPEAKING.

Yet He Says:

Matthew 10:34-42 Do not think that I have come to send peace upon the earth: I have not come to send peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man at variance with his father, and the daughter with her mother, and the daughter-in-law with her mother-in-law; and they of his household shall be a man’s enemies. He who loves father or mother above me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter above me is not worthy of me. And he who does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. He that finds his life shall lose it, and he who has lost his life for my sake shall find it. He that receives you receives me, and he that receives me receives him that sent me. He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man, shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whosoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Psalm 138:2 I will bow down toward the temple of thy holiness, and celebrate thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth; for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
